What I've learned from reading childcare books

All of the experts agree: Children need boundaries. You have to set limits. It makes children feel safe and secure. Adults need boundaries too, no matter what Paris Hilton might say. I've decided to set some rules and boundaries for myself. Most of us do this unconsciously, but I thought it would be a good way to remind myself of where to draw the line before I go through a midlife crisis. Here's my Top 10 list of Things I'll Never Do:
  1. Run away from my family to join the circus.
  2. Join a nudist colony, for whatever reason.
  3. Ride off into the sunset with a chain gang.
  4. Become a Geisha.
  5. Work for the mafia.
  6. Marry a man half my age.
  7. Spend the rest of my life in pursuit of the holy grail.
  8. Rob a bank.
  9. Move to the moon.
  10. Anything Paris Hilton would do.

    Here's to sanity and self-respect!
